If you could own a gun but don’t then you’re gay.

I shoot ISSF 25 meter centrefire with a Glock 17 and hit an absolute wall with improving my score, even though I could do far better with a .22 I decided to blame the tools and that the sights weren’t crisp enough and the trigger was just too shitty (especially compared to other Glocks I shoot). So I bought a Brownells RMR cut slide kit and Zev trigger and put it together and added a Holosun green dot on it.

Sighted it in and on my first competition (second time ever shooting a red/green dot pistol of any kind) I bettered my personal best score by 47%.

The moral of this story is if you’re using a Glock for any kind of competition FUCK THOSE DOGSHIT SIGHTS AND TRIGGER RIGHT OFF. I should have done this 4 years ago instead of struggling through.

You do matches and JUST realized that your stock Glock isn’t ideal? Everyone and their mom has red dots and race guns and 2011’s. I respect the commitment to the basics though and you probably have some solid fundamentals from shooting a bare bones glock
I’ve known it wasn’t ideal forever, just didn’t realise it was worth an additional 47% of my score! I’m just a stubborn retard s it turns out.

The stock sights on Glocks are garbage. When I got my 19 I had the shop go ahead and put tritium night sights on it. Everything else is stock still and I like the way it runs.
Eventually I’ll throw a red dot on it.
Best purchase I ever made was getting a suppressor for my AR. It’s still loud enough that if I’m doing an extended shooting session I’ll wear ear pro but if I’m just slinging a few shots at some feral hogs there’s no need.

I had a Ruger 357 and 25 caliber semi auto. The 25 was garbage and almost blew up in my hand. I eventually cracked the frame on my Ruger and pawned it. I don't know how it cracked, I never used self loaded ammo and mostly used 38 ammo at the range. I miss it and I want to get a new revolver.
I was looking at the Chiapa Rhino because it's gorgeous but it's a gimmick and expensive. I may just do a classic American Smith & Wesson and be done with it.

Sucks that firearm threads never go anywhere because everyone here is European or from like Massachusetts. Too bad your thread wasn’t about mcdonalds or whatever

My question posed to gun guys. Is H&K just overpriced legacy shit for lawyers and doctors?
I loved HK but a few years ago I rented one from the range, a 40 cal and I know it was worn out, but I didn't love it I was really disappointed because I love the brand otherwise.

I own a Chiappa Rhino. I have the 3 inch stainless. It looks cool as fuck and shoots flat as fuck but the QC is Taurus level. A screw walked before I even shot it. The grips started falling off as there isn’t much holding them to the frame. My GP100 and 686+ are far superior. I paid about 1k out the door for the Rhino and it’s simply not worth that price

Thanks for the heads up, I'll stay away.

That was a friend’s experience. The sight came off the first time he shot it lmao.
