Finished Boardwalk Empire (spoilers, don't bother)

@McGowan6 was spot on, turns to utter shite. I knew the spoilers going in beforehand but the way they killed Nucky off, LOL. "I'm Tommy", are you? You give a shit about your dad you only met for 2 minutes, how? Also Omar from the wire, I couldn't give less of a shit about his storyline. Definitely won't rewatch, drivel for the latter seasons.
Loved the era, and some of the side characters were great but left a poor taste in my mouth (sorry for language).
Looking it up, I realise HBO motherfucked them but still no excuse.

Jimmy Darmody was played by a decent actor despite looking like the most unimposing gangster of any era. Apparently, he was a huge pain in the ass to work with.

The Manny character was played by one of my favorite actors and looked much more the part. His death was almost as dumb as Nucky’s though. As far as Tommy’s motivations I think it had more to do with what happened to his mother.

Richard Harrow was easily one of the most engaging characters. His arc wasn’t that impressive but the actor was amazing. But yeah I’ve never been tempted to give it a rewatch.

Dropped it after season 1 funster. I can tell when something is going to be all style and no substance.

Didn’t know that about Pitt and Forsythe. Their on screen chemistry seemed decent enough. I knew Paz de la Huerta was nuts but I didn’t know about that. Classy.
