They are rolling out the blocking by accounts slowly. Probably within the end of the year they will have all adblocking software blocked on their end. And all accounts that used adblock will be locked. They are just gradually doing this to try to control the backlash.
This technically violates lots of laws. And actually goes against a few of Google's formerly stated 'ideals'. But they basically control the entire internet at this point. Within a few years things like adblock/ublock will be nearly impossible once your browser and OS start feeding you advertisements directly.
