You probably don't have cable but the Comedy Central ads for the dailyshow might as well have him doing peekaboo, he doesn't say anything funny he just does silly faces and says nothing about anything, while the voice over just says "he is back!"

Show a 10 to 15 second clip with vague context, say something smart ass trying to be the smartest person in the room, than have the seals applauded you for over a minute.

It’s annoying as fuck and really only worked for about 2 years when Iraq started. It was really easy to point out bullshit with that. But as time went on, it continues to every fucking late night show and I’ve said it before on here: he ruined TV.

Replacing him with Trevor Noah was a disaster. They’re so lucky they still have South Park and Tosh.O reruns.

I used to watch the daily show back in the day, during the bush years and I enjoyed it. I watched a bit of least week tonight and there were parts I enjoyed but I got tired of his shtick fast

First season or two of Oliver’s show was pretty good because they’d do deep dives into somewhat niche topics. I’m right in the demo for Stewart’s show but I never got into it.
