On August 14, 2018 it was discovered that former O&A producer, Erik Nagel, made a comment in a thread titled "What should have stayed in Vegas, but didn't?" on /r/AskReddit about a former co-worker. He wrote, "An ex co-worker of mine got blackout drunk and wouldn't stop trying to pick up this young teen in front of her family. Her father almost fought him, but an off-duty police officer stepped in and convinced the guy to get upstairs and go to bed." Within a couple of hours of this admission being posted to /r/opieandanthony Erik wiped his account history and created two new posts in an attempt to make it look like the account was owned by someone else. There have been rumors circulating that Erik would be joining Anthony's podcast network in some capacity prior to this happening, which would explain his panic.
