If Patrick has proven anything over the last 48 hours is that he will never be able to work again, at least in anything resembling mainstream writing in the established industry. The question is then, how long can Niki support the two of them before they are forced to get government assistance. From there how long until Patrick is evaluated professionally and deemed unable to take care of himself and institutionalized (or at least very closely monitored)? The first 5 years were fun, but I think we're seeing a turn where the next 5 years are going to be really sad... And I tyfys.
