Do you still call your parents’ friends Mr. or Mrs. so and so?

Late 20’s whhaayyy? But I still do this even though it makes me feel childish. I still call all of my HS friends’ parents that way too. I consider it a respect thing. Let’s go to the phones.

Easy solution: Just don't address them by their names when you talk to them. I was a disrespectful prick when I was a kid, so I never called any grown up sir or ma'am or ever addressed them by their name. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

My friend’s mom told me to call her by her first name like 5 years ago so I just don’t directly address her by name.

It's weird to be in a conversation with someone and refer to them as that. It's like when you're in school and you referred to teachers as Mr. and Mrs. because you didn't actually know their first names. Are you from some part of the South where they actually teach white kids respect, what's going on here?

Bosses? Yeah because I didn’t work anywhere until I was older and there’s no way I’d call my boss Mr. anything but calling teachers by their first name is pretty foreign () to me.
