Hindsight is 20/20 and we could levy the same criticism against Jim or Opie. If we’re to believe Danny he warned both of them of Ant after being exposed to the level of piece of shit he was and they still continued working and associating with him. It’s easy to see how early on Ants racism and pedo shit was a character and played up - Now we know he was simply playing it down.

I went to Jim and asked if he would get lunch after the show with me. I told him that the show was going to get fucked by Anthony for having underage girls drinking at his house. Imagine the next morning's NY Post or Daily News cover? Jim didn't seem to show any concern and said something to the effect of "He's an adult, he can make his own choices." I knew it would be Anthony to end the show, I just bet on it being the kids rather the racism. I went to Jim over Opie as I didn't feel he would take it seriously coming from Opie, but if Jim told him to calm down, he might listen.

As for Jim? Of course Jim didn’t show any concern. Even if he believed 1000% what you were saying he could give a fuck. He’s not gonna go tell Ant or management and risk his job. He’s not gonna even consider Ant getting arrested or fired because that puts his job in jeopardy. And as we’ve all seen Jim is like a literal battered housewife when it comes to Ant. Every excuse he can think of he made for Ants racist tweets and firing, what’s stopping him from doing the same towards pedophilia? Defended his racism, defended his domestic abuse, defended his alcoholism, Jim doesn’t have a bone in his body that gives him morals.
But also lets be honest…nothing would make Ant “calm down”. When cops would give him speeding tickets he would rail against the cops instead of himself. When he was fired for racist tweets he doubled down. He said his domestic abuse case was tanked by the lying NYPD, not him beating a random girl. If Jim went to him and said “You’re fucking kids? Not fucking cool” Ant would have a problem with Jim, or you, for running your mouths about his business. He would NOT reflect and realize he’s a disgusting pedo. The only way to get Ant to “calm down” is if Jim and Opie put out an ultimatum that said “Behave or we’re fucking leaving you.” Even then, refer to previous point. He’d blame them rather than himself.
What he wants to do he will do. If he is reprimanded for this it isn’t his fault, it’s yours for not ignoring him and letting him do whatever the fuck he wants. He’s a FN.
Lets say Daniel told Opie. I doubt Opie would do shit. Consider they weren’t talking already, was Opie supposed to call up Ant and go “knock it off with the pedo shit.” And then have to explain he got that info from Danny, the intern Ant just had a falling out with? All letting Opie know what was going on would do is make him more complicit in the scenario. At least here we can justify Opie continuing to work with Ant as “Well he didn’t know the depths Cumia was going to.”
