More details are coming to light about the perpetrator and he seems to come from an old Anglo-Normand family that has been attested in England since at least the 1220's, the Fitzabdullahs.
He is also related to former British premier Jahangir Khan and famous (at the time) soccer player Farooq Ismail who won three consecutive national league titles with Brentford City FC from 1925-27. Ismail would later play a role in the formation of the Premier League.
His great-grand aunt was the first British woman in space Farida Abu-Faizal.
Seems like a powerful family judging by their connections.
