played it recently for the first time after seeing this meme



its insane they made this game, they did some church of the sub genius shit and “combined all the conspiracy theories into one” and basically made a whole game exposing the one world goverment

the wildest shit is the game is also amazing

if you have never played it, and like retro games, it still holds up. the story is shockingly contemporary for our times, and 20 years ahead of its time when released

Never played it but Riccardo likes certain clips from it. It just seems very dry to me. MGS2 is in the vein of what you're talking about and that's amazing 22 years later, but Riccardo thinks the gameplay and graphics in that - not to mention the voice acting - really hold up.

The Patriots and how they run the US is the best analogy of how everyone is censored and uninformed, but it's just cloaked in them being AI. And The Patriots are correct in some ways, so it's not just bad guys vs. good guys.

It’s a fun series overall. Human Evolution was probably one of the best games I ever played

My only complaint is I like to autistically hoard everything I pick up and there’s no “storage” aspect of the game. You get to a point where you think why the fuck am I managing my inventory around to keep a fire extinguisher

Human Revolution is good, but the gameplay is much more formulaic than the original. You upgrade stuff until you have pretty much everything at the end, while in the original you make choices that restrict your character in a more fun and challenging way.

The original on the other hand has shit physics, AI, graphics and sound. A mix of the two would be awesome.

Yeah the original was definitely overall better just hard to look past the graphics. Invisible War was whatever and Mankind Divided felt like they rushed it. Wiped out the entire fawkin mafia area before realizing you can do missions for them
