As a host, he was awful. They literally changed where they have the cue cards and put them nearer the camera so it wouldn't be as obvious how glued he was to them.

How can you even watch this? Genuinely. The only time I’ve tried to watch SNL live was when Shane Gillis did the monologue. The cold open sketch was the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life and Shane’s monologue was a huge letdown and made me realize he’s a one-hit wonder standup wise.

It's the easiest thing in the world to say "SNL used to be funny", but what I really don't understand is anyone watching it live. Just like 10, 15, 30, 40 years ago, SNL is 3-4 good sketches, a lot of filler, and a good monologue if you're lucky. Now we have the benefit of knowing the buzz and just watching those 12 or so minutes of good shit on youtube the next day.

They upload everything to YouTube so I put them on the day after while I'm browsing this place.
