Resonators and mufflers aren't the same thing, fatass. Resonators just change the exhaust noise. They eliminate the high pitched noises and hums that you get from certain engines and make the exhaust sound deeper. You still need new mufflers. Oh noes.

He is going think it sounds so badass but it will just be obnoxious for the driver and the neighbors when he warms it up in the morning. You gotta spend some good money on a quality full exhaust ( cat back at least) where the company actually put in effort to tune the sound so its not just a megaphone. This is the equivalent of putting a "Cherry Bomb" on an older car.

to me, cars are for driving... he just prettys it up all the time, then he's always on twitter. maybe he drives it to whatever new bar he goes to.
if I had that car (it's not a classic) I'd drive it into the ground, over kerbs, whatever.
that reminds me, remind me to do an audio story about the car where I bent the subframe (still drove it for a bit)

I believe it's 25 years and you can claim anything classic. We have my dads 96' Silverado in storage with collector insurance. Other than being very low mileage and mint original condition it's a run of the mill pickup that GM made many thousands of dozens of, child.
