The sad reality is the zelda formula peaked with link to the past for SNES. Every game is just that with a gimmick
Oot gives you ability to play music and a horse
Majora gives you a time system and masks
Windwaker gives you open world travel and a boat instead of a horse
Twilight you can be a wolf (not including the world shifting becauss link to the past did it first)
Wii one you can fly!


They all kind of stink, but have some charm in their own way. At the end of the day though they're puzzles that an elementary school child should be able to solve.
