Today we gather to pay our respects to the man who is responsible for hooking up his brother Anthony with Opie Radio at WBAB.
Anthony was too afraid or too lazy to knock on the door himself, so his stand-in father figure Joe took up the responsibility and did more for Anthony than Anthony himself was willing to do for him.
Sure, Anthony plugged Joe's dates and he pays out per their agreement (which you may think is silly, but it is a legally binding endeavor.) But Anthony always promised Joe he was going to be on the show. Turns out, Anthony went into business for himself and packed up to move to Boston. [scooby doo / Flintstones running away sound effect]
Yeah they played some of Joe's songs. So did Ron & Fez, and Whatley was never even Joe's true brother in law, only in spirit. They did as much for Joe as his own brother did as far as air time. And then Anthony went and bashed the Guilty By Association podcast by bring up the guitars? Kinda stupid to talk about your elder like that, who looked out for you, who made you, literally dressed you and tied ya shoes... Oh wait, are we talking about Brother Joe... or Opie Hughes???
