Happened to me during a CC course, all because the lady had some weird issue with students pirating textbooks, it was a trig course and the previous book was just as good as long as you could match the chapters, they didn't even bother changing the course work from the book beyond moving the chapters around. Community College professors are the only people that can do shit like blatant plagiarism and sell it in a disposable textbook (100 dollar workbook).

I'd say shit like community college teachers exploiting lower income people by selling them one time use work books with their name on it for 80$ or more and blatantly telling students they will fail if they don't buy the book should be addressed more then the obvious exploitation of people needing student loans.
If you're in a CC course and the professors name is on the book you're in for a fucking hell ride, might as well be in a class where the professor who is clearly doing this part time says something stupid like "You can learn this on your own!"
TL;DR: "Professors" in community college shouldn't be allowed to sell their own text books.

I had this happen in a really niche class but luckily the professor was an extremely autistic gentile and the book was small but dense, paper-bound, less than $20 and printed through a locally owned print shop. Pretty cool dude.
