This was a 80s UK version of a candid camera style show where they would try and annoy people into punching actors regularly. Good old family viewing.

Today broccoli hairs point their phones and harass strangers, recording their own soyfaces, and are surprised when they get assaulted. The modern influencer surveys the public space and thinks, "who should I annoy and then act surprised for the mostest views". The scary thing is that in 1980, there was only one Beadle that could pop out of a bin and scare you. Now, anyone with a broccoli haircut could be a Beadle. Was Jeremy responsible for the epic prankster that got shot a couple years ago? That last sentence is rhetorical.
