About 20 years ago, there was a lab in New Jersey producing and selling the real deal to middle aged housewives and shit, that’s the last time I knew of it being made on scale in the USA.
IN THEORY, it’s an extremely easy synthesis IF you can get ahold of anthranillic acid - like as easy as making meth from ephedrine - but you just can’t get the precursors without setting off alarm bells.
@Smeckler's Powder I’ve done almost every drug you can do, including some of the other lost legends like Nembutal, and I never came across real ‘ludes. I don’t really do drugs anymore but I would make an exception in a second for some real methaqualone.
