This post is under the best-case hypothetical for Pat: That there are doxxed funsters who have directly committed crimes against him and of which charges would stick. Paint can, bike vandalism, getting his furniture stolen, getting his HS transcripts released, and all the stlaking-related charges (stlaking, harassment, death threats, defamation, etc.) and whatever else. None of these crimes have come from here and this post is not by any means encouraging them. This post is not about the SWATings, which are the FBI's case.
Now, is the MPD/City dedicating resources to solving these crimes and prosecuting those responsible? And more applicably; if any of these crimes repeat themselves in the future, will the MPD spend even a second looking into them?
Well, the MPD is chronically understaffed and in panic mode; they've lost 1/6th of their force since 2020 and are struggling to get new hires. This shortage has resulted in extremely long wait times, even in response to violent crimes, and a near-complete lack of investigative work towards anything other than homicides and shootings. Nobody wants to become a police officer in post-bigfloyd Weimerica.
Milwaukee Police arrests have plummeted - New report finds 82.3% decline in total arrests in past decade
This is despite all crime across the board rising, in most areas significantly. This quote best sums up Patrick's situation and the "multi-year criminal investigation" into his stlaker's offences.
As they have stated openly, the MPD has been forced to focus all of their resources at shootings, homicides, and armed robberies. They won't even show up in response to misdemeanour crimes or non-violent felonies anymore. This year their hyper-focused efforts have finally stalled Milwaukee's post-Groid homicide/shooting boom. This is at the cost of all other violent crimes continuing to rise as criminals can largely commit them with impunity. For minor crimes (i.e. anything Rick has ever faced) there is no data as they in large don't even respond to them, much less investigate, solve and prosecute.
Milwaukee crime numbers improve, as homicides, shootings dip in third quarter | Carjackings remain a concern, other categories tick up
As for MPD's current priorities, just today they launched 'Operation Winter Guardian' to address the massive surge in carjackings (+29% since '22).
The Takeaway: Pat is fat and nobody is ever going to enjoy prison. Brothermen, Kiwis, and Redditors alike can all sleep safe. Do not take this as an excuse to be less careful in maintaining your privacy; however (the point of this post): If you come up with a good bit but are hesitant because you're worried skirts the line of legality (ex. entering 'harassment' territory), just fawkin do it brothermen (not ACTUAL crimes though). Even if you were doxxed and lived in Milwaukee and did every one of the IRL crimes towards Pat, you could sleep easy and the MPD would never even contact you. This place has seen a precipitous decline in hard high-effort bits and we need them back. Don't hesitate about being extradited and arrested over a contact form. Do da bit.

Help wanted: Can Milwaukee Police Department fix hiring problem?
The Milwaukee Police Department has a hiring problem. It can’t find enough recruits to offset retirements and the departure of others.
wisconsinwatch.org
In 2023, the MPD hired 101 new officers but lost 112 to retirement, resignation or termination. The pace of recruitment is slow again this year, with departures of officers once again outpacing new police cadets.
The city also risks missing mandates that require beefing up the number of police officers in the city as part of the Act 12 Wisconsin funding law or face millions in fines. Act 12 created avenues to implement local sales taxes as a way to pump more money into the budget and offset spiraling costs.
“I have no issue with the mandate because I do think that we need more officers on the streets,” Westmoreland said. “At the same time, you can’t force people to apply for the job.”

Most of this decline involves minor crimes. There was a tremendous drop in Summons and Citations arrests, which fell by 95.7% from 36,055 in 2012 to 1,568 in 2023. “Crimes that saw a high concentration of these types of arrests include disorderly conduct, drug abuse and equipment, and destruction and vandalism,” the study noted.
-“Declines in sworn staff and unfilled detective positions have diminished MPD’s capacity to make arrests and stops. From December 2018 to May 2024, there was a 16.6% decline in the number of sworn staff actively employed by MPD…
-Homicide, aggravated assault, and motor vehicle theft have all surged in Milwaukee beginning in 2020. While violent crimes make up a small fraction of all reported offenses, the response to, and investigation of, these crimes require a significant amount of police resources.
