that also sounds retarded. can we not just have a single isolated film that isn't connected to one movie or another in some overly convoluted manner? the first alien executed its premise flawlessly; there's no room for improvement. expanding on its world only diminishes the intrigue of that first movie

I like BladeRunner and liked Prometheus but only because I know what Scott was trying to do. The movie objectively sucked but I liked it
