It’s the same everywhere.
It’s probably a good sign for young people when literally every industry is saying “do not join this industry there’s no future in it” right?
Anything service related, from entry level customer service to creative marketing to HR to technical specialist is fucked.
Every person I know affected all did the “AI will never take my job because of *reasons* - it can’t do what I do!” which is often true, but unfortunately companies don’t give a fuck and operate on MVP principles, minimum viable product. If AI/automation can do the bare bones for free, with no salary, benefits, sick days, maternity, pension etc etc etc they are going to use that.
The unspoken aspect to this stuff is the companies are 100% right, most of those people are entitled fat boomers who contribute nothing and think they are owed a living and retirement just for turning up.
