I think about this shit all the time and I assume everyone else does, doing the mental math of when various events happened in my life and how distant it all is. What helps me is thinking about the present as if it were already the past, as if it were already 15 years ago. We could be in relative good times considering the bleak future approaching, and that's encouraging. Every day I just say to myself I'm happy to be alive because I know it'll all be up soon.
