Last time I needed to buy a new laptop I asked you guys and your recommendation served me well. I broke it like a retard but it gave me zero problems for the 4 years I used it.

I pretty much only use it for ms word and the occasional 48 hour stimulant induced porn bender. I'm just retarded and have no idea whats good or not. I don't wanna overpay for shit I'll never use but I don't wanna buy a cheap piece of shit either.

Set a budget and buy a thinkpad that corresponds to that budget with a screen of a size you like. If you spend less than $600 it will probably be shit.

If you want something cheap and last about 10 years get the previous gen of MacBook, no fan and you can charge it with a USB cable, way more powerful than the same Windows machine in the same price range with less headaches

I have two MacBook Airs which have been workhorses for me. Yeah, I can't run any graphic-intensive software on them but for Word and other Office apps they've been great. A MacBook is even better, but you won't be disappointed w an Air.

My kids have taken the Airs and use them for simply Scratch programming and classroom apps.

Just bought a Gen 9 iPad for $200 on Amazon ($320 total with a Bluetooth keyboard and AppleCare) since I needed something small and cheap for my freelance gigs. It's been a great alternative to the traditional laptop but the keyboard is a must.

Yeah it was pretty funny when people shitting on the new Mac mini 2024 from a few months ago, at 599 you ain't gonna find anything better, when they start posting the small windows machine at the same price those are literally landfill material, struggle to even run windows with 2 browser tabs open when the Mac can be used for media production

Just buy a fleet of used enterprise gear from ebay. USB-C charge guaranteed and if you destroy one, oh well, just grab the next one on the stack.
