The lien would follow a sale, so someone could buy it with the lien attached and assume the debt. They could also default on the Mortgage, and if the sale doesn't cover the bank's costs , that's another win. So there could be a loophole there, but i'd wager quasi would challenge it. So its possible they can not pay the mortgage, go into foreclosure and then squat in the house. JUDGMENT CREDITORS HATE THIS ONE WEIRD TRICK.
