But why would Burr treat Anthony with any respect when he tried to dismiss him nicely through a dinner telling him he couldn’t be associated with him professionally, Anthony attacks him, his wife, and his friends, and still expects to be let into this event and make amends. Why would you show respect to that guy when he obviously has none to give himself?

Look, I'm a sensitive Irish Catholic faggot from Boston with a mean father just like Burr. I'm not even saying that I personally would've handled it any better.

But in that moment, knowing it will cause a scene, knowing you'll have to address it later, the adult thing to do is to just let it go and maybe address it over a phone call later. Not to prevent Ant from embarrassing himself, but just to diffuse it. That's the right thing to do.

I'm glad Burr did this - it's funny. I just think it was an emotional and gay thing to do for a guy who supposedly has thick skin.
